There are 13 members of our coven- in
order of age - Mary, Betty, Maria (me), Dorothy, Linda,
Patricia, Barbara, Susan, Jennifer, Kimberly, Angela,
Jessica and Amanda.
Angela, Jessica and Amanda are learning
the crafts. Bless them. They are 2 special people who
will fill the shoes of those to retire to the Green
Garden.
We call ourselves The Permanent Coven
because The Coven was founded in the distant past- back
in time, back in my home country Egypt. My mother brought
The Covern to America. It is a permanent link to our
past.
The Coven is a reclusive yet powerful
group, influencing the goings on in the real world throughout
its existence; mostly by subtle means. The Permanent
Coven is inextricably linked to a group known as The
Order of Akychi (the Order).
Although the Covern is all female, The Order is mixed.
There are more than 250 Members of The Order. Overseeing
both the Covern and the Order is a small group called
the Group. This is a committee of 6 (3 female and 3
male) who organize communication between The Covern
and The Order, and who plan the direction of The Order
(the generic term for all of us). It is The Group who
decided we must share our knowledge with the world through
the internet.
My mother Mildred (Bless her!) was the
founder and head of our Coven until she moved to the
Australian outback in 1999 to live with her brother-
she is still the most powerful spell caster alive. Bless
her. May she live to one hundred and fifty!
